Theoretical composition of a Sturmpanzer Abteilung
 
The first chart below is the theoretical composition of a Sturmpanzer Abteilung including personnel, weapon and vehicle counts using the November 1, 1943 KStN.

The Nachrichtenzug (signal platoon) has 3 PanzerKampfWagen III (5 cm/L42) (Sd.Kfz.141) as Panz.Bef.Wg. but these do not seem to have been employed by any actual unit. Stu.Pz.Abt.216 did field a PanzerKampfWagen II zug (5 vehicles) but I am uncertain of its role.

Also of interest is that the Gruppe Führer of the Stbs.Kp. does not indicate any Stu.Pz.IV but it seems that the Stbs.Kp. of Stu.Pz.Abt.216 did employ Stu.Pz.IV as Panz.Bef.Wg and the Meldung for both Stu.Pz.Abt.216 and Stu.Pz.Abt.217 show an authorized strength of 45 Stu.Pz. This would seem to indicate they each had 3 Stu.Pz.IV assigned to their Stbs.Kp. In fact I cannot find these three Stu.Pz. in any of the 1943 KStN.
 
The second chart is the theoretical composition of a Sturmpanzer Abteilung using the September 1, 1944 KStN.

These KStN are freie Gliederung (fG) organization. The freie Gliederung organization removed the supply and baggage vehicles from each company and moved them to a new supply (Versorgungs-Kompanie) company. In comparing the two charts you can see that in the change to f.G. the number of trucks in a Stu.Pz.Kp. was reduced from 24 to 2 and also all the men required to operate the trucks were also removed. The new Versonrgungs company now provided all supply vehicles. The purpose of the f.G. change was to centralize the task of supply within a battalion.

In these set of KStN the Stbs.Kp. now does have authorized 3 Stu.Pz.IV as Panz.Bef.Wg.
